Technical Business Analyst (Integrations)

We’re hiring a hands-on Technical Business Analyst who is as comfortable writing scripts as running a requirements meeting. You’ll work directly with the integration lead to build and support everything that flows in and out of trading and payments systems: integrations, message flows, automated reports and scheduled jobs. If you are fascinated by how data moves between systems and enjoy building integrations, we’re looking for you.

The role at a glance

  • Technical BA with hands-on coding skills and knowledge of Linux
  • Integration and messaging for FX, commodities, and payments systems
  • Fully remote for a top North American bank (for residents of Poland, Romania, or Spain)

This role leans more toward technical than business. You’ll set up and support integrations between systems, work with message formats like FIX, SWIFT MT, XML and JSON, and build the automation behind reports and data flows, using SQL, scripts and job schedulers such as cron and Autosys. Experience with capital markets systems like Murex is a strong plus, but what matters most is technical ability, curiosity, and drive.

Why join us?

  • Join an integration team and help shape how it works
  • Learn directly from an experienced integration lead, with hands-on training on the bank’s systems and tools
  • Work on the connections behind FX, commodities, and payments projects at a top North American bank
  • Long-term, fully remote role with the stability that comes from working with a major bank

The ideal candidate is technical first: they can code, they’re at home with bash, and they understand the business reason behind what they build. They’re enthusiastic, pick things up quickly, and are happy to be dropped into new situations and figure them out. English proficiency is a must.

This is a fully remote role for a professional based in Poland, Romania or Spain. You will be working through a Polish company that will provide support and administrative assistance to make you successful in the role. We are looking for people to join the team long-term.

Only open to residents of Poland, Romania, and Spain. Citizens and legal residents with permission to work in Poland, Romania, or Spain are welcome.

What we offer

  • Hands-on, technical work: you build and run integrations
  • Training and mentorship from the team’s integration lead
  • Work that matters: the integrations behind FX, commodities, and payments at a top North American bank
  • Long-term commitment: this is not a fixed-scope or fixed-term outsourcing role; we value people who want to grow and contribute long-term.
  • Flexibility & remote work: fully remote position with increasing schedule flexibility post-onboarding.
  • Competitive Compensation: top pay and ample time-off options.

Responsibilities

  • Set up, configure and support integrations between trading, payments and downstream systems
  • Work with message formats such as FIX, SWIFT MT, XML and JSON, including mapping and transformation between them
  • Build and maintain automated reports and data flows using SQL, scripts and job schedulers (cron, Autosys)
  • Work on Linux-based systems to deploy, run, monitor, and troubleshoot jobs and integrations
  • Gather and define integration requirements with product owners, business leads, and solution architects
  • Investigate and resolve integration and data issues across systems
  • Be available occasionally during the weekend to support releases and deployments

Requirements

Must have

  • 3+ years of experience in a technical BA, integration, application support, or development role
  • Strong Linux skills
  • Proficiency in Bash scripting
  • Working knowledge of at least one programming language, such as Python or Java
  • Experience with messaging middleware such as IBM MQ, RabbitMQ, or Kafka
  • Strong SQL skills
  • Experience with job scheduling and automation (cron, Autosys, or similar)
  • Hands-on experience with message formats such as XML, JSON, and FIX
  • Enthusiasm, a strong work ethic, and the ability to pick up new systems quickly
  • Ability to align your work hours to maintain a 6-hour overlap with US Eastern business hours (work until 9 PM CET / 10 PM EET).

Nice to have

  • Murex experience
  • Wallstreet Suite experience
  • FX, commodities, or payments domain knowledge
  • SWIFT MT message experience

The recruitment process

  1. Submit your CV.
  2. Answer a few written questions at your own pace.
  3. Participate in a two-stage interview process:
    • Technical interview with the hiring manager and a technical team member
    • Team fit interview with the hiring manager and business stakeholders

Successful candidates will need to pass a standard background check.
